“'Remember Me' is a brooding and sensual song that beautifully shows off Aoife Bridget's confidence and dynamic range, both as a vocalist and a songwriter. She continues to show her unique ability to build atmosphere within her songs that feels like you could reach out and touch them” - James Lonergan

Remember Me
An R&B Alternative Pop song by Aoife Bridget
This song came to me from the idea of how memories are modified overtime. Details get lost and changed, lines get blurred but the memory is still there no matter how much time goes by. The cover art and visuals of a dark silhouette coincide with this concept.
I love the idea in the chorus of ranking your memories with someone: "Let's round up all our memories, favourite to the very least" -The good with the bad because when it comes down to it, you would happily replay and live in them all. This was inspired by the classic film 'Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind'.
When it came to the instrumental, myself and James wanted it to feel fun and sexy with a sense of freedom. We were playing around with a new WAH pedal that James had gotten that day in the studio when we came up with what is now the signature retro guitar riff the plays in conversation with the vocals in the verses. We were heavily inspired by R&B from all different eras and times.
I wanted the ending to feel HUGE for the listener -we achieved this by layering heavy synths and multi-tracking heavily distorted guitars. There's a beautiful contrast with the trippy/dreamy backing vocals that become part of the instrumental. The lyrics in this section signify acceptance and moving on.I wanted this to feel cinematic.
This song was produced by both James Lonergan & Aoife Bridget

Upcoming Headline Show
I am doing a Headline Show in Whelans Dublin, Ireland on Wednesday the 9th of December to support this ‘Remember Me’ and this new chapter in my career.
I play with an amazing band who really bring all of my songs to life. I am SO excited for this and I would really appreciate any sort of support in promoting this release and show.
